我院主要从事国家基础测绘任务、各类公开版地图的编辑制作任务、各类印刷业务和市场加工任务，从事地图生产已有40多年。
现有员工112人，拥有专业的地图编辑、策划、制作队伍，高水平的印刷装订技术团队以及一批测绘高新技术开发人才。技术实力雄厚，设备精良，承担的各项基础测绘任务和外加工任务综合质量位列国内同行前茅，还是国家书刊及地形图的定点印刷单位。全院生产和管理实现了计算机网络化，拥有80余台高档微机、A0幅面高性能扫描仪、爱普生9000大幅面喷墨打印机、爱克发 1000激光照排机等专业制图设备，以及海得堡、北人对开四色印刷机等专业印刷设备；还拥有自动折页机、自动胶包机、程控切纸机等数十台先进装订设备。

It has 112 employees currently, including a professional team for map editing, masterminding and manufacturing, a proficient printing and binding group and a crop of development talents in surveying and mapping. With the unparalleled strength and advanced equipment, the academy takes the lead in terms of the quality of all the surveying and mapping tasks and outer processing tasks it has accomplished. Moreover, it is a designated unit for printing national books, periodicals and maps. The academy has adopted computer network in its production and management, and now it has acquired a full set of mapping equipment like over 80 top grade computers, A0 Format High-Performance Scanner, Epson 9000 Large Format Laser Phototypesetter and AGFA 1000 Laser Phototypesetter, etc., printing machines such as Four-Color Folio Printers made by Heidelberg and Beiren, as well as dozens of advanced binding equipment like automatic folding machine, automatic gluebinding covering machine and program-controlled paper cutter, etc.
